ASUU threatens fresh strike over unimplemented agreements

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) warned of a potential industrial crisis in Nigeria's public universities due to the Federal Government's failure to implement agreements. During a press conference in Sokoto, ASUU Zonal Coordinator Abubakar Sabo highlighted that delays in the implementation of the 2025 FGN-ASUU Agreement are creating tensions on campuses. The union also raised concerns over increasing insecurity in Northern Nigeria, which is affecting academic activities.
