No evidence of widespread fuel price-gouging, says watchdog

The UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) stated that there is no evidence of widespread fuel price-gouging following the start of the US-Israel war. Retail profit margins remained broadly unchanged between February and March, although some supermarkets saw an increase. The CMA also noted that the rise in pump prices was attributed to broader cost pressures, particularly higher oil prices.
