Serengeti retains title as Africa's Leading National Park as Ruaha scoops the top cultural award at WTA 2026

The Serengeti National Park was awarded Africa's Leading National Park for the second time at the 2026 World Travel Awards, beating competitors like the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Etosha National Park. Ruaha, Tanzania's second largest national park, also won the title of Africa's Leading Cultural National Park for the second time. Tarangire was named Africa's Leading Elephant Paradise, while Nyerere National Park won the title of Africa's Most Scenic National Park.
