Sri Lanka’s government ‘temporarily’ takes over cricket board

Sri Lanka’s government has taken control of the country’s cricket board, stating it is a temporary measure aimed at facilitating structural reforms. All administrative functions of Sri Lanka Cricket will now be under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. This decision follows the resignation of SLC president Shammi Silva and his committee amid allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
