Navy foils attempted wellhead sabotage, arrests suspect in Bonny

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, the Nigerian Navy announced it had thwarted an attempted crude oil theft targeting critical infrastructure in Bonny, Rivers State. During a patrol near the Renaissance African Energy Company Limited Oloma Flow Station, personnel of Forward Operating Base Bonny intercepted a suspicious fiber boat.
