Troops foil ISWAP/JAS attack on military position in Borno - Daily Post Nigeria

Nigerian troops of 3 Battalion (Mechanised)/24 Task Force Brigade repelled an attack by ISWAP and JAS terrorists in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State. The attack occurred on June 12, with insurgents launching coordinated assaults from the Wurge, Manawaji and Kinuba axes. Troops responded with sustained firepower and reinforcements, forcing the attackers to retreat. During follow-up operations, three unexploded RPG-7 projectiles and two torchlights were recovered; one soldier was wounded by RPG fragments.
