Camair-Co: State seeks to defer funding for 98 billion FCFA fleet project to 2028 pending maturity clearance

The Cameroonian government recommends postponing until 2028 the funding scheduled for 2027 for Camair-Co’s fleet expansion project, valued at 98 billion FCFA. The recommendation appears in documents from the Expanded Budget Programming and Performance Conferences, published on October 27 by the Directorate General of the Budget. The project is still awaiting the maturity clearance required for inclusion in the public investment programme. This is a recommendation made during preparation of the 2027 budget, not a final decision to abandon the project; officials also requested clarification on its readiness and implementation plans.
