High Court Stops Arrest of Prosecutor, Bars Magistrates From Questioning ODPP Decisions

The High Court in Kajiado nullified summons and arrest warrants issued against a senior prosecutor from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) over a land fraud case. Judge Christine Meoli ruled that subordinate courts lack the jurisdiction to question ODPP decisions, stating that such challenges must be pursued in a competent court. The court also declared the arrest warrants unlawful, violating the independence of the prosecution office.
