One killed, two injured as MACBAN alleges attack on Fulani travellers in Benue

The Benue State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) condemned the alleged attack on four Fulani men in Okpokwu Local Government Area on June 10, 2026. According to MACBAN, the travellers were ambushed by residents while travelling from Benue to Onitsha. One died from injuries, two are receiving treatment, and one escaped. MACBAN dismissed social media reports linking the victims to kidnapping, and the local government chairman said no link to crime has been confirmed.
