Benin: The Democrats welcome the government's agreement with the AME and encourage its consolidation

The opposition party Les Démocrates in Benin welcomed the agreement between the government and the Aspirants to the Teaching Profession (AME) during an extraordinary national council in Cotonou. Nourénou Atchadé, the party leader, emphasized the importance of this progress for improving the professional conditions of the teachers involved and called for careful follow-up. The agreement includes the gradual integration of AMEs into the public administration as contractual agents under a public law status, based on their qualifications, seniority, and age, without additional exams, while maintaining social coverage and access to banking services.
