Cocoa, Wood, Digital: EU Donation of Over 37 Billion FCFA to Strengthen Cameroon's Capacities

On June 16, 2026, in Yaoundé, Paul Tasong, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Economy, signed three grant agreements with Jean-Marc Châtaignier, head of the EU delegation to Cameroon, for a total exceeding 37 billion FCFA. The first program, 'Business Boost for Africa' (9.8 billion FCFA), boosts the digital economy in four Central African countries. The second, 'Accélération numérique au Cameroun' (9.8 billion FCFA), targets SME competitiveness through digitalization. The third, 'Forêts et cacao durables et compétitifs au Cameroun' (17.5 billion FCFA), promotes sustainable cocoa farming and forestry that respect the environment.
