Rivers 2027: Gov Fubara scales through APC screening, cleared for 2027 polls

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has successfully passed the APC screening ahead of the May 21 governorship primary election. He was among 17 serving governors whose credentials were verified by the committee. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has vowed to undermine Fubara's re-election bid, while Wike's loyalist Kingsley Chinda has also been cleared to contest against him.
