CS Mugaa Warns Garissa, Tana River Residents to Move to Higher Ground Ahead of El Niño

Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Mugaa warned residents in Tana River and Garissa counties to prepare to move to higher ground due to expected heavy rains. He noted that the Seven Forks dams on the Tana River could spill if rainfall reaches projected levels.
