Quebec: Algeria becomes 3rd main country of origin for immigrants in 2025

According to the Quebec Institute of Statistics (ISQ), Algeria became the third country of origin for permanent immigrants admitted to Quebec in 2025, behind Cameroon and France. Tunisia and Morocco complete the top five. Over the 2021-2025 period, Algeria ranks fourth with 16,957 immigrants. Quebec welcomed more than 60,000 permanent immigrants in 2025.
