Coffee-Cocoa Research: FIRCA Reviews 13 Years of Investments

During the National Cocoa and Chocolate Days, FIRCA presented a review of its investments in coffee-cocoa research from 2010 to 2023, in partnership with the Coffee-Cocoa Council. Five major projects were funded, including research on plant materials suited to local conditions and methods to combat Swollen Shoot disease. Annual investments are estimated at around 1.5 billion FCFA, leading to scientific and practical advancements for producers. New discussions are planned to define the support framework for the upcoming campaign.
