ENT Cancers: Scientists Develop Chewing Gum to Reduce Risks

Doctor Vincent Valinducq introduced an experimental chewing gum developed by the dental medicine faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, aimed at reducing the risks of ENT cancers. This chewing gum contains an extract from lablab beans and an antibacterial peptide, showing a 93% reduction in papillomavirus and over 99% reduction in harmful bacteria in laboratory tests. Approximately 890,000 new cases of ENT cancers are diagnosed worldwide each year, primarily affecting men.
