Victims of the 2021-2023 Events: Maïmouna Dièye Clarifies and Details the Use of 2.3 Billion FCFA

Maïmouna Dièye, former Minister of Family, Solidarity and Social Action, issued a statement clarifying the use of 2.3 billion FCFA allocated to victims of the 2021-2023 political events. Of the 2.3 billion mobilized, 2,218,994,161 FCFA were spent: 1,051,308,000 FCFA given to 2,088 ex-detainees, 400 million to 40 bereaved families, and 767,686,161 FCFA for medical care of 258 beneficiaries. She emphasized that figures presented during the handover ceremony on June 8, 2023 have since been consolidated and updated.
