Air Peace faces flight disruptions as ground handling equipment damages aircraft

Nigeria's largest airline, Air Peace, disclosed that one of its Airbus A320 aircraft sustained damage on the ground at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 1 in Lagos. A baggage conveyor belt vehicle from Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) crashed into the aircraft's engine after the completion of Flight P47427 from Kano. The aircraft was rendered unserviceable, causing flight delays and cancellations. A source said the operator of the vehicle suffered a medical emergency and was rushed to FAAN hospital.
