Sharia no excuse for terrorism, kidnapping, crime grave sin in Islam - NACOMYO

The National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) condemned the alleged demand by kidnappers seeking Sharia law implementation as a condition for releasing abducted students and teachers in Oyo State. Coordinator Dawood Afolabi stated that terrorism, kidnapping, murder, and intimidation are grave sins in Islam, directly opposing Sharia's objectives. He urged the government to strengthen security around educational institutions and prosecute the perpetrators.
