Astou Pierre case: Suspect repatriated to Senegal after arrest in Mauritania

The suspected killer of Astou Pierre was arrested in Mauritania through international police cooperation via Interpol and repatriated to Senegal. On arrival, he was handed over to the Dieuppeul police station for the investigation. Astou Pierre was attacked with acid by her former partner at her workplace, near the Amitié 3 and Liberté 4 neighborhoods, and died of her injuries; several colleagues were also affected. Investigators are expected to establish the circumstances of the attack and determine responsibility.
