Soludo seeks partnership with pharmacists to strengthen healthcare

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo called for a strategic partnership with the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) to improve healthcare and access to pharmaceutical services. Speaking at the opening of the PSN’s 99th national conference in Awka, he said more than 250,000 expectant mothers had received free antenatal care and over 950 free Caesarean sections had been performed. Soludo said a pharmaceutical hub in Oba and a coordinated wholesale centre, due for delivery early next year, were under development. He urged the PSN to help curb counterfeit drugs, illegal drug outlets and unethical practices.
