Two US service members reported missing in Morocco, officials say

Two US service members have gone missing during military exercises in Morocco, according to the US African Command (Africom). They were participating in African Lion 2026, aimed at strengthening operations between US forces, NATO allies, and African nations. A search and rescue mission is underway near the Cap Draa Training Area, close to Tan Tan. The exercise, involving 5,000 personnel from over 40 countries, runs from April 27 to May 8.
