The U.S. State Department placed Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) under its highest Level 4 'Do Not Travel' advisory due to the ongoing Ebola response. South Sudan, Central African Republic, Somalia, and Sudan are also on the list. The U.S. now requires a 21-day quarantine in a third country for travelers from the DRC, a measure that could reduce the number of American health workers available. Kenya was not included, while construction of a U.S. quarantine facility in Laikipia was halted after legal challenges.
