Mohammed Asasa was forced to exhume his father Hussein's body, aged 80, after armed Jewish settlers threatened his family in the village of Asasa near Jenin. Hussein, a former livestock trader, had been buried in a local cemetery according to Islamic customs. The settlers, from the recently reoccupied settlement of Sa-Nur, claimed the burial site was too close to their settlement. Despite the Israeli army intervening to confiscate digging tools, the family accused the soldiers of standing by.
