Kaduna PDP Gubernatorial Candidate Petitions NSA Over Alleged Removal of Campaign Billboards

Usman S. Bawa, the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State, petitioned National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu over the alleged removal of his campaign billboards in Jere, Kagarko Local Government Area. In a letter dated October 22, 2026, he called for an impartial investigation to identify those involved and determine whether they belonged to the armed forces or another security or government agency. Bawa also asked authorities to investigate eyewitness reports that people at the scene were threatened with being shot if they photographed or recorded the incident. He wants investigators to establish whether anyone acted without lawful authority, made threats, or breached procedures.
