I’ve never seen National Assembly budget – Akpabio

Senate President Godswill Akpabio revealed he has never seen the National Assembly budget, calling for budget transparency before any procurement reforms. This came during a motion to establish an Internal Tender Board, which was stepped down by the Senate. Senator Adamu Aliero lamented that lawmakers themselves are often unaware of budget details, stressing the absence of a Budget and Research Office. Senators insisted that transparency in financial management must precede any procurement reforms.
