Qatar LNG carrier struck by ‘unidentified objects’ in Gulf

The LNG carrier Al Mayeda, owned by Qatar Gas Transport Company, was struck by “unidentified objects” on Friday evening while sailing in the Gulf. No crew members were injured and no environmental damage was reported; the vessel is safe and operational as the impact is assessed. More than 120 commercial ships have been hit since the US-Israel war on Iran began, and October was the conflict’s worst month, with at least 29 ships struck.
