Tanzania charges a passenger levy of $45 per passenger and $90 for a return ticket, making it the second highest in the world. Equatorial Guinea holds the record with $50 per flyer and $100 for a return ticket. Kamil Alwadhi from IATA emphasized the importance of aviation for national GDP growth and called for increased cooperation among African countries to support the airline industry.
