Patrick Vieira settles on his new starting XI, without Gana Gueye or Sadio Mané

Ahead of Senegal’s two matches against Sudan, Patrick Vieira is shaping a 4-3-3, with Yehvann Diouf in goal and Kalidou Koulibaly anchoring the defense. Pape Gueye, Lamine Camara and Pape Matar Sarr would make up the midfield, with Iliman Ndiaye, Nicolas Jackson and Ibrahim Mbaye in attack. Sadio Mané is absent to stay with his family, who are expecting a child, while Idrissa Gana Gueye was left out so Vieira can assess other players. The lineup remains uncertain, particularly after Krépin Diatta’s injury and Mamadou Sarr’s withdrawal.
