US midterms 2026: What polls reveal about Democratic, Republican voters

On the eve of the US midterm elections, the economy, the cost of living and immigration rank among voters’ top concerns. An NBC poll released Sunday found that 75 percent of respondents were dissatisfied with the state of the US economy and 51 percent with their personal finances. A Pew Research Center survey conducted from September 28 to October 4 found that 84 percent of registered voters consider the economy very important to their vote, while Democrats and Republicans differ on the importance of democracy and healthcare.
