TSC Unveils New Career Progression System for Secondary and Special Needs Teachers

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has unveiled a new career progression system for secondary and special needs education teachers. The system introduces eight designations from Teacher 8 Secondary 3 to Teacher 1 Secondary, replacing the previous 13-title structure. Diploma holders enter at grade ST 8, while bachelor's degree holders start at ST 7. From grade ST 5 upwards, progression is tied to administrative leadership roles such as Deputy Principal, Principal, Senior Principal, and Chief Principal.
