BRT: What users will save in a month with the new fare

Starting September 7, 2026, the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Dakar will implement a social fare program offering a 50% discount on ticket prices for vulnerable users, including female heads of households, disabled individuals, the elderly, students, and unemployed persons. The usual fare of 400 FCFA for an intra-zone trip is reduced to 200 FCFA, allowing eligible users to save 8,800 FCFA monthly for two daily trips. Eligibility applications can be submitted online through the dedicated platform.
