The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, has suspended priest Ifunanya Maduka for six months without pay over allegations of staged prophecies. The diocese stated that Maduka admitted to orchestrating prophetic acts by involving individuals he induced or paid. This conduct was deemed unacceptable for an ordained priest, violating Christian doctrine and ethical standards of the Church. A disciplinary panel will be constituted to further investigate the matter.
