Nigeria Evacuates Its First Ebola Patient to Switzerland

Nigeria evacuated its first Ebola patient from Abuja aboard an air ambulance bound for Switzerland, according to sources cited by the report. The patient, who arrived from the Democratic Republic of Congo, was reportedly the wife of a Swiss diplomat and in stable condition; Nigerian Health Minister Muhammad Pate was said to have confirmed the transfer. Nigerian authorities had said she travelled through Uganda, but Uganda’s health ministry stated that the country had no Ebola cases.
