In Linguère, Mamadou Sadibou Augustin Diédhiou, a third-year medical student, has been detained for criminal association, unnatural acts, and voluntary HIV transmission. The investigation began after a complaint of harassment on Facebook and WhatsApp was filed by three employees of the Maguette Lô hospital. During questioning, the student admitted the facts and said he had known his HIV-positive status since 2024. Several alleged partners, including Ndiaga Seck and Amadou Guèye, have also been jailed.
