Mbuji-Mayi: Start of works to stop 13 heads of ravines in Kanshi

On April 5, 2026, Minister of Infrastructure and Public Works, John Banza, launched an anti-erosion and road modernization project in Mbuji-Mayi. The works aim to secure the Nyongolo police camp and surrounding neighborhoods threatened by erosion. The project includes the modernization of a 1.5 km stretch and the construction of a 700-meter dirt road, with drainage systems for rainwater management. These works, scheduled for 24 months, aim to protect the socio-economic infrastructures in the area.
