Ramaphosa campaigns in Khayelitsha as taxi operators seek help with fuel costs

ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa campaigned in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on Sunday ahead of the upcoming elections. At the Salvation Church of the Revival of Faith, he urged young people to take responsibility for the country’s future, promoted education and job-training initiatives, and called on parents to keep children in school, including young women after pregnancy. He also called on men to help combat gender-based violence. Taxi industry leaders asked him to intervene over rising fuel prices and disputes with the City of Cape Town.
