Gov Adeleke orders probe into Koka kingship dispute

Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to investigate the reported appointment of another king for Koka Ilas, where two kings are laying claim to the throne. The ministry has been instructed to review the situation and enforce chieftaincy law and tradition. The recent installation of Dr. Omoniyi Yakubu Adebisi as the new Onikoka of Koka-Ogbnse has been contested by other traditional leaders, asserting that it cannot be recognized.
