The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has initiated an investigation into allegations of N100,000 extortion by its officers on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. An individual named Tosin claimed on Facebook that LASTMA officers arrested commercial buses and forced drivers to pay this amount for the release of their vehicles. LASTMA has invited Tosin to present concrete evidence of his claims and promised disciplinary action against any officer found guilty.
