One dead and two ill after meningitis cases in Reading

A student at Henley College in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, has died from suspected meningococcal disease. Two others are being treated for meningitis in Reading, according to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). Close contacts of those affected are being offered antibiotics as a precaution, but the risk to the wider public is considered low.
