Yari’s remarks expose APC security failures, ADC says

The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) criticised Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the APC campaign council’s director-general, over his reported remarks about Nigeria’s insecurity. Yari reportedly said that if former president and retired military officer Muhammadu Buhari could not eliminate insecurity, it was unclear what Bola Tinubu could do. The ADC-PCC called the comment an admission of failure by the ruling party as banditry, terrorism, kidnappings and killings continued to threaten communities. It presented former vice-president and ADC candidate Atiku Abubakar as an alternative with the experience and plans to address insecurity and revive the economy.
