Adamawa: Police go after vehicles with unregistered, concealed number plates

The Adamawa State Police Command has launched a statewide operation against vehicles operating without registration number plates or with concealed, altered, or defaced plates. According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the move follows a directive from the Inspector General of Police aimed at improving security. The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has established a special task force led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Abubakar Haruna, to monitor compliance. The task force is authorized to stop, inspect, and take legal action against offending vehicles, including impoundment.
