The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, announced that the zero-tariff policy for African products in the Chinese market will take effect on May 1, 2026. This initiative, which applies to 100% of tariff lines for all African countries with diplomatic ties to China, reflects China's ongoing commitment to Africa. During a ceremony in Abuja, he also presented the new ECOWAS headquarters as a flagship aid project, symbolizing the cooperation between China and Africa.
