South Africa: More Resources Deployed in the Cleveland Mass Shooting Incident

The Acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, has ordered the deployment of additional national specialized resources, including forensic services and tactical response teams, to investigate the Cleveland mass shooting that killed 12 people. More than ten suspects arrived in a white Toyota Quantum and opened fire in an informal settlement before fleeing. A multidisciplinary task team is working around the clock to identify and apprehend those responsible.
