South Africa: Kemi Seba extradition case postponed to August 11

The extradition case of Kemi Seba, a pan-African activist detained in South Africa, has been postponed to August 11, 2026 by South African justice. Benin accuses him of incitement to violence and money laundering after his support for the failed coup d'état of December 2025. His lawyers oppose extradition, citing risks for their client in Benin. Kemi Seba and his son were arrested on April 13, 2026.
