Anambra: Police arrest two over disappearance of 33-year-old woman in Oraifite

The Anambra State Police Command arrested two men, Thankgod Ikechukwu Ikwugwara (26) and Makuochukwu Uzoigwe (20), in connection with the disappearance and murder of a 33-year-old woman in Oraifite. The victim vanished about three months ago; her body was found in a culvert near Jesus Bus Stop on March 14, 2026. The prime suspect, Ikwugwara, confessed to luring her to his home under the guise of needing help for an illness, then attacking her with a machete alongside his accomplice and dumping the body. He stated he had been in a three-year relationship with the victim and claimed he was unaware she was married.
