DCI Arrests Suspected KDF Impostor Found Armed During Match at Sony Green Stadium

A man suspected of impersonating a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) member was arrested at Sony Green Stadium in Awendo, Migori County, while trying to force his way into the VIP section during a match between Migori Youth FC and Equity Bank FC. He was found in possession of a loaded CZ pistol with ten rounds of ammunition, which belonged to a civilian licensed firearm holder who had handed it to him. The firearm holder was also arrested for allowing an unauthorized person to possess a firearm. Both suspects are in police custody as investigations continue.
