More than 50 years after the first flight around the Moon, Artemis astronauts will use their eyesight to study its surface. Kelsey Young, the lead scientist for the Artemis 2 mission, stated that the human eye is the best instrument for observing details of the Moon. The four crew members underwent over two years of training to become 'field scientists' and memorized the Moon's 'Big 15' features.
