Cameroon: Joint ventures concentrate 60.5% of jobs in a sample of foreign investment enterprises

According to the report 'Cameroon’s Business Climate at a Glance', based on Unido-API pilot surveys, joint ventures account for 42.7% of the 75 surveyed foreign direct investment enterprises, but concentrate 60.5% of the 24,430 declared jobs. In contrast, wholly foreign-owned enterprises (WFOEs) represent 50.7% of the sample. The study highlights the significant role of partnerships between foreign investors and local actors in job creation in Cameroon.
