Cocoa: the price per kilogram rises above robusta coffee but remains well below forecasts

On April 7, 2026, the price of cocoa per kilogram in Cameroon reached between 1275 and 1375 FCFA, surpassing that of robusta coffee, which was priced between 1200 and 1300 FCFA. This 75 FCFA per kilogram difference in favor of cocoa is the first in a month. However, current prices remain below government forecasts, which anticipated a range of 3200 to 5400 FCFA per kilogram.
